1.      What did the king do when he became angry with someone?
Ans: The king was well known for his love of wisdom. However, he was extremely hot-heated and impatient.When he was annoyed by someone he immediately had them thrown into the palace dungions.
2.      Why did the king compare Tirumala to a parrot?
Ans: Old Tirumala was a wise and faithful minister of the king of Gajapuram.He had served the king's father and now served the present king.Whenever he was asked for his opinion about something he woupd reply, "Everything happens for our own good. "Just like a parrot, he would repeat the sentence over and over, much to the king's annoyance. So the king compared Tirumala to a parrot.
3.      What made the king so angry before the great debate?
Ans: One day, a grand debate was organized in the palace. As the king entered the hall through a large, ornate, teak doorway, his hand brushed against the door panel and he felt a sudden stqb of pain. There was a long cut on his middle finger.He examined the surface of the door. One of the small brass knobs had disappeared ; in its place was a rusty nail.This annoyed the king, and he became furious.
4.      Explan the phrase,"out of sight, out of mind".
Ans: If we do not see someone or something frequently,  we will forget about it.Sometimes used to imply that you will forget about people who have moved away.In the story "Old Tirumala " The king had thrown Old Tirumala to the dungeon and the was continued to his daily works.Moreover, in this time the king had forgotten his dear minister Tirumala. In the circumstance,the phrase "Out of sight,out of mind" is used in the story.

5.      Why were the members of the hunting party relieved when they arrived at the river?
Ans: Once a morning, the king and his friends rode out of Gajapuram on horseback. At midday they arrived at a thick forest. After the hot and dusty journey, the hunting party was relieved when they arrived at a cool river.

Ans:After the hot and dusty journey, the hunting party was relieved when they arrived at a cool river.They dismounted to rest.The king,although tired and hungry,did not wait.He took his bow and a quiver of arrows and set off, on foot, along the bank of the river.He said,"I shall bring back some tasty meat for our dinner." Making his way over the rocks and was disappearing into the forest
