1.     Labors were employed to reap paddy from a paddy field. The daily wage of each labor is 10 times of their numbers. If the total monthly wage is Tk. 9000, find the number of the labors.

a.      If the number of labors is x, then express the monthly expenditure in terms of x.

b.      Find out the number of labors.

c.     If 12 more labors come, they are unable to arrange in square shape. What is the minimum number of labors to be reduced so that they are to be arranged in square shape?

2.     A farmer has 535 coconut trees and 1156 jackfruit trees. He wants to plant the equal number of plants in every row to the side of length and breadth.

a)     How many trees does he have now?

b)    If he wants to plant the jackfruit trees in his garden, find out the number of jackfruit trees in each row.

c)     What is the number of coconut trees does the farmer needs, to arrange the coconuts trees in equal to the length and breadth.

3.     484 and 717409 are two numbers.

a)     Find the square root of 484 by factorization method.

b)    Find the square root of 717409 in division method.

c)     Add the two numbers. Then what is the least number which is to be subtracted from the sum so that the difference is a perfect square?

4.     In a garments factory there works 2187 workers and the make 54756 shirts per day.

a)     Will the number 2187 a perfect square number?

b)    Find the square root of the number of shirts.

c)     What is the least number to be added to the number of the workers  so that the total sum is a perfect square ?
