As you sow so you reap
Our life is the result of what we have done in
past. If we have performed good jobs we get its fruits in the enjoyment of
life. If we have performed bad jobs, we Suffer pains in various disadvantageous
situations. No event is uncaused in the world. All events are caused by past
actions. There is an essential connection between cause and effect. The result
is always consistent with the cause. It is true for physical as well as moral
world. Good action causes good result and bad action causes bad result. It is a
universal moral principle.
If a student neglects his lessons, he will secure
poor scores, which will lead to a low profile career. On the other hand, if a
student studies properly, he will have high scores, which will ensure him good
employment. Similarly, in the career, if one performs his responsibilities
properly, he will be rewarded with promotion and other benefits. But if he
neglects his duties or somehow indulges in corruption, he will be punished with
termination. Honesty brings peace in life and dishonesty brings grief. As one
sows so one reaps. The volume of labour
has also connection with the nature of
result. Hard labour produces success and laziness produces failure. The farmer
who takes good care of his corn field will get good harvest. On the other hand,
if he does not prepare his land with ploughing, spread low quality seed and
does not irrigate and not use manure as required is sure to get a poor harvest.
A particular kind of result comes as a consequence of a particular kind of
action. One who is regretting now must have done something which was not
appropriate. Those who now laugh might have done something which was beneficial
for him and others. Therefore wise persons always perform job reckoning the
future consequence of it.
