All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy
This is a wise saying which
emphasizes the necessity of play in human life. It warns someone that they will
not be an interesting person if they work all the time. Work is a kind of
serious physical or mental activity which we usually do to earn money. It is
certainly essential for success in life. But excess of everything is bad. We
should not work all the time. If anyone becomes an workaholic, they cannot
enjoy their life. If a person works all the time, his or her life becomes dull,
monotonous and uninteresting. Rest and recreation are also necessary for life.
Play also plays an important
role in human life. Although it is believed that
play is always engaged in for its own sake and it has no materialistic end, it
is not altogether Valueless. A moderate amount of play between the tedious
periods of work brings joy and happiness to life. Play affords not only mental
rest and recreation but also helps to build robust health and strong Physique.
We can work off fatigue, sorrow and depression.in play. When students become
tired of studies, they can take part in some play for some time and come back
refreshed and invigorated to resume their studies. When they engage themselves
in play, they can interact with various people.
Interaction with others helps
them broaden their outlook. Through play everybody can sharpen and stimulate
their intellect. Play can always help us to get rid of the boredom of work.
However, we should also remember that all play and no work can spoil our life.
There-should always be a reasonable balance between work and play. To become an
interesting and successful person everyone should maintain this balance.
