Ans: One day a man from the town came to Ramnagar. When he got there, he saw an amazing sight. Some people of the village gathered beside the river. They were holding a thick rope which stretched across the river. In the middle someone had tied a cup to carry out water from the river.

4. What were the villagers doing with the penknives?

Ans: One day two people from the town came to Ramnagar. When they got there they saw a huge crowd of people round tall tree. Two men were busily working on the trunk. Each had a small penknife in his hand and was cutting the wood.

5. What were the villagers doing with the ants?

Ans: The following day the district officer and a few of the other important people of the town went to Ramnagar. When they got there they saw a long line of women walking to and from an anthill. Each woman was carrying a basket. The first woman in the line stepped up to the anthill and took an ant from the moist earth. Then she put the ant in her basket and carried it away.

6. What answers did the villagers always give to the townsfolk about their methods?

Ans: When the townsfolk always arrived at the Ramnagar, they always saw that the people of Ramnagar always doing some strange works. When the townsfolk asked them, ‘Why they are doing works in such methods?’ Then the villagers replied, they always do the work in this method and it always works.
