1. Why did Oliver beg Fagin to send the books back?
Ans: Oliver begged Fagin to send the books back because the owner of the books was the old gentleman. He also added that the old man was a good and kind person and he nursed Oliver when he was ill. If Oliver will not send the book again they will think that Oliver had stolen the books.
2. Why they all laughter with roar?
Ans: They all roared with laughter as the Dodger found 5 pound note from Oliver’s pocket and and at this point they all making fun.
3. Why did Jew stroke Oliver with the stick?
Ans: When Jew and Fagin said Oliver that he was safe enough and put him in the prison. Then Oliver made a sudden dash from the room followed by Fagin and the two boys’ .They caught Oliver and pulled him in the room. Jew took up a stick and stroke Oliver with stick. When he was about to strike again, Nancy seized the stick from him and flung it in the fire.
4. Why Nancy said that the streets will her home until her death?
Ans: Fagin and Jew took the book from the Oliver and did not refuse the books. On the contrary the said that the will send Oliver in the prison. When Oliver ran away Fagin and other two boys caught Oliver and hurt him with a stick. When he was about to strike again, Nancy seized the stick from him and flung it in the fire. Then Nancy said he would not stand by and see such that again. So Nancy said that the streets will her home until her death.

Ans: Sikes swallowed two glasses of brandy in quick succession.

Ans: Sikes dog growled as Fagin entered.

Ans: Fagin and his companions compelled Oliver to do robbery with them.
Chapter-7
1. Why Oliver’s joy shaded when Oliver was finding the new shoes?
Ans: The next day Oliver awoke to find a new, strong pair of shoes on the floor beside his bed. His pleasure in seeing this was quickly dispelled by Fagin telling him that he was to be taken to Bill Sike’s house that night.

2.Who came to fetch Oliver?
Ans: Nancy came to fetch Oliver.
3. Why Nancy took Oliver to Bill?
Ans: Nancy led Oliver  from the house into a horse cab, which seemed to be waiting for them.This,without orders drove away fast and took them to a house, which although Oliver did not know it was near Benthal Garden. There they found Bill, who produced an ancient pistol, which he loaded and held to Oliver’s head.

Ans: When Nancy and Oliver met with Bill, he held an ancient pistol to Oliver’s head. Then he said to Oliver, “Now, if you speak a word when you’re out with me, except I speak to you , that bullet will be in your head.

Ans: It was very dark, with freezing dog. Bill, Oliver and Toby Crackit hurried through the little town of Chertsey and about a quarter of a mile beyond they stopped outside a detached house surrounded by a high wall. In a moment all three were over the wall and creeping silently. He realized that house braking robbery were the objects of their expedition.
9. How Toby forced Oliver to go the old house?
Ans: Toby knocked the pistol from the Sikes hand pulled Oliver towards the house with a hand over his mouth.
