Ans: Jadhoji, Bhatt was old. The little hair that he had left on his small bald head was now as white as the snow of the mountains.  His brow, still adorned with holy ash, was furrowed, and his eyes, though deeply sunken, had a bright spark in them showing that he was still alert.

2.    When Jadhoji was meditating, how did his nephew attract his attraction?
Ans: One day Jadhoji was sitting on his small mat in the verandah und militating, when his nephew, Vallabhji, returned from the palace. Vallabhji coughed. The old man opened his eyes and enquired about the disturbance. Thus his nephew attracted his attraction.

Ans: When Jadhoji got news about the division of the land between two brothers, the next morning, Jadhoji put on his best cloth and set off at a slow pace for the palace. Ans: The next morning the townsfolk gathered outside the palace. They were eager to hear how the land was to be divided. Jadhoji made his way to the palace as briskly as was possible for a man of his age. Jadhoji entered the palace and talked with the two princes. Jadhoji took a piece of paper out of his little cloth bag. He tore the paper neatly down the middle. Then, he wrote something on each half without showing it to the princes. He folded the pieces carefully and held them out. 'On one chit, ‘announced Jadhoji, ‘is the name SURENDRANAGAR and on the other is the name RAMPUR. The remaining twelve villages which are also part of your kingdom will be divided equally between the two of you. Then he ordered, “Now each of you please take a piece of paper.”
7.    Did Arjan Singh act like an obedient pupil? How?
Ans: Yes, Arjan Singh acted like an obedient pupil. When Jadhoji ordered, “Now each of you please take a piece of paper.” Arjan Singh reached out and took one of the pieces of paper. ‘Whatever has been decided, ‘he said, good enough for me,' and swiftly, and much to the amazement of his brother, he put the paper in his mouth and swallowed it.
8.    Why was Sabal Singh most surprised?
Ans: As Arjan Singh reached out and took one of the pieces of paper. He took one piece of paper and swallowed it.Then, Sabal Singh was most surprised. ‘What is This,’ he exclaimed. ‘You have swallowed the paper without looking at the name on it!’
